Welcome to my website. I document the finest luxury Sussex offers in travel, style, and food. Enjoy!

Worthing is a beautiful seaside town situated on the south coast. Famed for its fishing trade of years gone by, but still carrying much of that charm. Sometimes, Worthing is regretfully overlooked for its neighbour, the colourful, cosmopolitan city of Brighton. To the North you have the stunning landscape of the South Downs and to the South, there are miles of shingle beach with a glorious Victorian promenade and traditional pier. For those who love culture, Worthing also boasts the oldest working cinema in the UK, the Dome. Steeped in local history, Worthing has had some very famous inhabitants, for instance, literary giant Oscar Wilde resided in the seaside town whilst he wrote the importance of being Earnest, more recently, it is where the band The Ordinary Boys are from.

There is plenty to do with the family, whether it be playing the slot machines on the pier or going for gorgeous walks over the downs to see the recently placed New Forest ponies. More recently Worthing has become a mecca for Kite Surfing and Paddle Boarding, which is available to do on Goring Beach.

Worthing has become a foodie destination in recent years and has a hotbed of fabulous restaurants, from The Crabshack which is located on the beach, close to Steyne Gardens to the hotly anticipated Pitch Restaurant, which is set to open in April with Master chef champion, Kenny Tutt at its helm. Not to mention the excess of amazing pubs that offer exciting new food concepts, such as French Night at The Gun Inn. There is also a plethora of microbreweries popping up around town, which serve delightful craft beers, such as Brookstead Alehouse or the Anchored Micro Pub.

With great transport links to London, Worthing has become a firm favourite with its reasonably priced houses, compared to the slightly higher priced Brighton, Chichester or Hove. As the area continues to develop and new ventures thrive in the town centre, its popularity looks set to continue with the expectation that house prices will continue to rise steadily.

Worthing is incredibly diverse, and its exciting businesses reflect this, from tasty seafood restaurants and micro-breweries, to its ideas-led creatives and estate agents. Here are a few examples…

Crabshack is an independent, award winning, family owned and run seafood restaurant right on the seafront in Worthing. We have a small menu which changes often and as much as possible we use locally caught fish. We have been lucky enough to gain a fair amount of national press coverage in our 4 years of being open the most recent being in the Guardian as one of the ten best beach restaurants in Europe.

We believe that fantastic tasting simple food and a great, friendly service have been the secret to our success, and we will carry on doing just that!

It is best to book if you want to be guaranteed a table as we do get very busy. We are dog friendly but do ask that you tell us when you book as we have a 3 dog inside policy. We don’t have a vegan option on our menu but again if you tell us when you book then we can prepare something for a vegan in your group.

Please call 01903 215 070 to book, we don’t take bookings via Facebook.

Fitz Wine

Rulers breed rebels!

When the guys at Fitz decided to make sparkling wine, they wanted to produce something different, something edgy and completely diverse from the current brands that are on the market. Most sparkling wines are made using the traditional champagne method of production, but not Fitz. They have decided to use the Charmat method, this gives the wine a fresh, clean and fruit driven taste.

Their first offering has taken the UK by storm and will be followed up in the next two months with a Rosé and 1 or 2 more exciting variants to the brand.

The gym without egos; SPC has the community, support and structure to produce life changing results.

A bespoke individual and group training facility,

After over 10 years combined experience in the health and fitness industry, Nathan Da Costa, Tom Austin and Michelle Davidson formed SPC to create a training community that positively changes people’s lives. Worthing Theatres

Programmed in partnership with Brighton Festival, Worthing Theatres welcome the UK’s leading physical comedy group SPYMONKEY to the Pavilion Theatre on 22-26 May, who celebrate their 20th Anniversary. This is an unmissable opportunity to see COOPED, the show that made SPYMONKEY an international sensation. A deliciously demented take on the pulp gothic romance. It’s Hitchcock’s REBECCA meets THE PINK PANTHER, overflowing with brilliant characters, rip-roaring farce and virtuoso physical comedy, you'll be laughing your socks off throughout the entire show.
